1996
A warm year with good concentration and depth…one of our best vintages of Liberty School Cabernet. Well balanced fruit and tannins with a long, warm finish.
1997
Near-perfect weather, the crop was large and ripe producing a concentrated wine. A great vintage for us, the wine showed clean, bright fruit with nice oak notes and good balance.
1998
For a relatively tough vintage, our Liberty School Cabernet showed well. It was a cool year with late rains. While many California Cabernets displayed green characteristics, Liberty School was fruit-forward in style with good varietal character.
1999
This was a cool moderate growing year, and one of our more challenging vintages. The crop was smaller than normal and ripened late. While the vintage ultimately came around nicely, the wine was lighter in-style.
2000
A somewhat mixed year throughout the state, overall it was a good vintage for Liberty School Cabernet Sauvignon. Without exceptional characteristics or flaws.
2001
Excellent, even weather produced early ripening berries of outstanding quality. Balanced grapes produced a nicely balanced wine.
